Essential advice when looking to sell a property

Is there a mortgage registered over the property you are selling? If there is we recommend you contact your bank as soon as you have accepted an offer on your property if not before. Some financial institutions can take between 10-30 days to prepare for settlement.

If you don’t have a mortgage registered over your property do you need to provide your hardcopy Certificate of Title to your settlement agent for settlement? Not all Certificate of Titles are issued as a hardcopy. Contact us today and we can check if you need to be in possession of your Certificate of Title for settlement.

Is your property your principle place of residence? If it is you have until 12pm the day after settlement to handover the keys to the buyer. This will allow you time to move.
